Cows vs Aliens is a collection of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) with 100s of unique traits, backgrounds and colors.
Uniquely, the collection is first being offered as an NFT to form a community prior to the launch of physical games, merchandise and more.
The smart contracts of the collection are programmed to fund a treasury directed by the community, where one NFT equals one vote.
The result is a collaborative and transparent community-driven roadmap that gives stakeholders a VOICE through democratic governance.

SUMMARY
- Cows vs Aliens is an on-chain community with decentralized governance and treasury.
- Ownership of one NFT is equal to one vote.
- The minting will occur in two phases. Phase 1 will be the minting of Earth Cows and Phase 2 will be the minting of Alien Cows.
- 50% of Alien Cow NFT mint proceeds are sent to the community treasury.
- 2% royalty on all secondary sales of the entire NFT collection and 1% royalty of physical merchandise will be sent to the community treasury.
COMMUNITY TREASURY
The core principle of Cows vs Aliens is the primacy of the community. This is why the founders have programmed the smart contracts to fund a community treasury that is governed by those who hold an NFT of the project (1 NFT = 1 vote).
FUNDING SOURCES
- 50% of the proceeds from the Alien Cow mint
- 2% of royalties from secondary sales across the entire NFT collection
- 1% royalty from physical games and merch
TECHNOLOGY
The community treasury will be a Gnosis Safe multi-signature wallet. The governance for proposals and voting of NFT holders will be through the Snapshot decentralized voting system. Ongoing conversation will be through our Discord server.
GOVERNANCE
Cows vs Aliens utilizes a fork of Snapshot Governance and is the main governing body of the ecosystem. Each NFT is an irrevocable member of Cows vs Aliens and entitled to one vote in all governance matters. Votes are non-transferable (if sold your vote goes with it), but may be delegated.
